We keep making excuses but less the 2nd row and 10 there was a
lot of experience in that team.

I don't really think that's to do with gameplan, our ideal
attacking structure will more or less be the same for every
game, and it's usually the fly half's job to organise the
forwards into a coherent shape during phase play, and then to
pick out which one is in the most space for the carry. However
yesterday we played mostly off 9, and I thought Steele (and
Stafforf when he came on) generally played very well, so I think
that most of the blame for our attacking shape has to go on
Herron.

Em, noone is saying it was a team that had never played rugby
before, but those who were more experienced had played next to
no rugby for almost a year.

Ah but in his pre-match interview Billy Millard said we were
targeting this competition! I gave up listening after that as
anything else he had to say obviously wasn't worth hearing.
Why give an interview if you are going to treat your audience
with contempt?

Yes it was in response to a question along the lines of "does
this selection mean you are targeting the Premiership?".

Probably contractually obliged. Stock answers to stock
questions. I gave up expecting insights from pre-match
interviews a long time ago.

Post match interviews aren't much better to be honest. I only
caught it by mistake!
