I'm very interested to see Green at 15. I think on his
highlights stuff before he came he was mainly a 15. And the
player he reminds me of is Stuart Hogg - only Green is quicker.
Overall a chance to give the big boys a break before an intense
run-in and give some game time to those who, with the absence of
A league, have had very little this season.

I think what it does mean, looking ahead a few weeks, is that we
will absolutely be at full strength and looking to get 9 or 10
points for the Wuss and Irish games.
I am happy with that. If we are prioritising top 4, then it is a
good idea to be out of sight from the chasing pack as early as
we are able.

Getting massively ahead of myself but if we win this game, I
wonder what would our team look like for the next round? Ulster
are probably the strongest team in this competition (maybe a
full strength Leicester a close second) so if we beat them It
would be interesting to see if the coaches would include a
couple of guaranteed first XV players i.e. Marler, Evans, DC,
Smith in the next round against Dragons/Saints.

A lot depends on what has been happening in training. We don’t
have a long injury list, so it’s possible-to-likely that the
coaches have been running this team as a unit in training over
the last couple of weeks in specific preparation for this game.
Most of them haven’t had much time on the pitch recently, but
this is a team capable of putting in a good performance and in
some ways the result of this match is less important than having
enough players match fit to support a Premiership run-in.
As a forward pack, most of the players have put in good
individual performances this season, and the backline has a lot
of good players in it - Herron aside, we’d not be unhappy to see
these players starting. The only real issue is the lack of
experience as a team.
The coaches have made their focus clear, and I am happy with
that - top 4 is a very achievable aim, and the Exeter and
Bristol games have shown that Quins are able to go toe-to-toe
with them even on their home grounds.

I would have liked to have seen less rotation too, but I think
we’re right to push for the Premiership. Our run-in should give
us a good chance of the top 4 and if we can maintain our recent
form, I actually think we’ll be a team Exeter or Bristol will
want to avoid in knock out scenario.
Ulster are a good side, but Henderson and Coetzee are huge
losses for them. They’ll be up for this game as their season is
basically over unless they win, but player for player, I don’t
actually think we compare that unfavourably even with this 2nd
string.
Also worth mentioning that I live in Northern Ireland and Ulster
are my second team so I know this side well.
I’m anticipating an Ulster win, but I’d back our guys to do
better than many of you seem to be expecting.

I hope you're right, but it's a team that isn't used to playing
together at all. Difficult to see where our areas of strength
would be and the selection seems to be essentially a sacrifice
of the tournament.
