More "rugby" played in the first 4 minutes of the France v Wales
game than the whole of this dire affair.

EJ has expired..he’s become even more stubborn, predictable and
stale. You could see players kicking the ball away which must go
against any other player watching, and that’s purely a coaching
instruction. Our penalty count and disciple is atrocious and if
I’m being honest I don’t feel many are playing for the pride of
the shirt. Only a handful of that squad I’d be happy to see at
wc22. I feel EJ has left it too late to bed proper starters in
for the next WC.
Lawrence I don’t think we will see again and I’m not too
bothered about. Youngs and Ford need an international furlough,
The number 15 needs an injunction against Daly, and frankly
Sinckler has regressed.
We know Farrell is undroppable . But 13 is a serious position.
Malins I think deserves the 15 shirt.
Minimum changes. 8 Simmonds (Dombrandt as bench impact but maybe
not got the full fitness for a test yet). Smith 10, Randall or
Mitchell 9

What really astonishes me is that with a World Cup coming up, EJ
sticks with his old favourites (some of whom have only played a
handful of times in the last year), who have no chance of still
being at top level fitness in 2023.
What is he thinking of.?
Following today’s weak performance, surely he has to consider
his position.

I don't see the point of playing Marcus Smith if his main job is
to shovel the ball on to Farrell. Farrell wouldn't allow Smith
to play in his team though, remember how he acted towards
Cipriani on the SA tour when Cipriani dared not to pass to him
and kicked the ball to the winger who scored in the corner? It's
got to be all about Farrell.

Loose head a massive issue, Marler is so far ahead of
Mako/Blonde Bimbo and not an obvious replacement coming through.
I've always felt that the Head Coach cycle should be 6 years and
take in two WCs. One to see how you are developing and one to
have a real crack at before preparing the reins for handover.
If the summer tour goes ahead and Simmonds' (primus and
secondus) plus Smith, Dombrandt Evans, Malins etc all play well
then leave them in the shirt for the autumn internationals
knowing that there is more experienced back up but if it works,
you can then roll on to the 6 Nations and so on.
If he's not prepared to change then move on.

Yes HT I quite like him as well but whether it's barfs overall
form or just his, he's not pulling up trees at the moment and
would you have wanted him starting against Fuhrlong yesterday?
He needs game time and rotating with Marler after 60 minutes for
a while will help.

If this England team wants to evolve we need to get away with
the issue that some players seem to play even if they are are
not a. The best player in their position in the Premiership or
b. Or play poorly on in international games.
Farrell, Youngs and Billy V are in the crosshairs of this
argument in my eyes. Genge has regressed, he no longer seems
capable in the scrum. So when we bring him on, things go
backwards.
Competition for places needs to be brought in again. Too many
players who are seemingly guaranteed to play despite being out
of form and or being inferior to the options playing in the
Prem.
