We also need someone to protect the players from each other -
all rosy at the moment but Lord of the Flies beckons when it
becomes someone's 'fault' for upcoming losses. And some of our
squad are a lot less patient than others.

If he brings that other chap with him....will that mean we lose
some of the current coaches I wonder??
He is a winner, just not sure he wins in the way some fans would
like. Me, trophies would ease the burden of watching a "duller"
rugby for sure. Winning will become a habit and hopefully he
would set the basis for a successful spell.

I would expect a quality DoR to develop a style of rugby that
suits the players at their disposal. We're not south Africa so I
wouldn't expect him to make us copy their approach.

Not unreasonable to expect, but have you ever seen Erasmus in
charge of a team that play more expansive, attacking rugby? All
I know is that I haven’t ...
I’d say there are more coaches who believe in their system above
all else and demand that the players fit that rather than
developing a gameplan for what they have.
I know Gustard wasn’t DoR, but he came in and tried to make us
in to Saracens MkII and we know how that worked out ... Erasmus
is obviously a lot more experienced and successful than Gustard,
but I really don’t want to see us make another mistake with a
similarly prosaic, ‘system’ based coach.

SA are strong in the forwards, but are they actually boring too?
I don’t think they are, I think they still use Kolbe and Mapimpi
well and play decent rugby?
