Obviously playing on an abandoned allotment is affecting the
game but we look too pedestrian. Can't help feeling Exeter will
step it up and we won't have an answer.

That last passage of play was very promising tbh.
Interesting game! Marler's having a great time, set the tone
with a huge shot on Kirsten's first carry and has been on top in
the scrum and with his carrying and tackling. The kicking game
is working okay, hard to judge the wind I think, but largely
been happy with our decision making and execution. Murley had a
rough start but has come back into it, Taps has had a few
issues. Exeter have outflanked us a little too easily
particularly on Green's wing.
All in all, quite happy with that. The team looks pretty well
balanced still, particularly in the pack. Really keen to see
what we do with the wind at our backs.

Running the two man pod of 12+ Marchant off set piece works so
much better with Esterhuizen than Taps. Exeter not really that
worried about Taps carrying so can just shoot past him and
target Smith.

I think Danny's decision to go for a drop goal would have been
the right one on a decent pitch. Not sure we were going
anywhere.
Good first half. Smith, Green and Marler all very good. Loved
our try. On their try, I admit I don't know the laws well
enough, but I just feel that if we'd scored that it would've
been disallowed. I realise that sounds pathetic!
No reason to fear them in the second half. Keep our discipline,
keep playing the same way. Quite a few times I thought we were
close to an intercept.
My one concern is that there has already been two clashes in the
air. There will be more kicking and I hope we don't get one
wrong and see a player go off

Interesting that Exeter are attacking through the centres rather
than creating the traditional overlap to feed O'Flaherty.
Suggests they've spotted a weakness.
