Maybe we should wait and see how he does when he fills that role
for Scotland next week?

Dave Ward was able to play Hooker and Flanker. Minty played No 8
and Lock. I think I might have seen Marcus Smith scrummaging
too.

Tom Guest could play 6, 8 and wing. Jack Clifford would have
been equally at home in the centres. Kyle Sinckler sometimes
seemed to be playing tighthead and flyhalf in the same game...
But at international level, the comparison that stands out is
Peter Richards playing at 7 in the 2007 RWC Final after Moody
and Worsley both went off with injuries.

Mauro Bergamasco played mainly as Flanker and an unsuccessful
game as Scrum half, but also played on the wing.

That was against Northampton when Steele and Smith swapped for a
scrum near our line to counter their big centre ( ended as a
decoy)
