The European draws have not been kind to us this season, still,
if we want to win it we have to beat the best at some point.

We've beaten Ulster at the Stoop in the past. And, post Gustard,
we've seen an improvement from every single member of the squad.
So I'd like to think we could win this.

Just saying, but if we ever play Connacht away, make the effort
to go over and cheer the lads on. A weekend in Galway is
brilliant, even if we lose. On a par with Limerick for
friendliness etc etc.

Not an easy game by any means, but a great test of where the
team is. At full strength, even in an empty Stoop, I genuinely
think we could give any team in Europe a good game. And we can
enjoy the moment without getting too worried about the result:
if we win, it's one more step towards silverware. If we lose, we
can concentrate on the Premiership. All I would hope for - and
all I would hope the coaches would ask for - is a performance
worthy of the quality in the side.

Ulster feel like a bit of a bogey team for Quins. Perhaps the
stats won't back that up, but it often seems like they're a team
we could beat but often don't.

Realising I wouldn't be able to face the day without knowing the
result, I consulted the tea leaves, the Delphi Oracle (it's
online now: pythia@delfi_oracle.com), the entrails of a recently
butchered mouse the cat brought in and observed the jackdaws
flying anticlockwise around the chimney pots they live in:
verdict - we'll sneak it in the last 5 minutes even though we're
down to 13 able-bodied men and a lightly injured one that can't
leave the pitch because we've run out of subs...

Like at the Kingspan last year, when we snatched defeat from the
jaws of victory thanks to a dumb penalty from Cavubati....
