No such thing as perfection! Always work on!
I agree - I watched a Quins team work for 80mins, show a great
attitude. score some good tries. Always looking to break. Some
big defensive efforts. Decent set piece, strong scrum in the 1st
half.
I'll take this every week please.

I think that the encouraging thing and makes it very exciting.
Not playing our best but still grinding out wins. Beating the
team directly below you and getting 5 points is nothing to be
sniffed out.
Our next two away games are against Exeter and Bristol. Will
learn a lot about how far this team can go this year

We dug ourselves into a hole but managed to dig our way out.
I’ll take that but there’s a lot of work that needs doing.

First half a joy to watch - brilliant attacking game-plan by
both sides.
However, we also have to thank Saints for making a complete
b*lls of a two-man advantage in the last 15 minutes - but in
reality, Quins were safe as soon a Mallinder came on as a sub.
As Ugo said in commentary, Quins have to be an 80 (not 40)
minute team if they are going to beat the best. How many times
have I heard that comment over the years??

And on 80 minutes the team that only plays for 40 minutes scored
a cracking try 😁

Maybe the stroke of genius was from the coaches who brought on
fresh legs at 9 & 10 in the last few minutes when back to a full
15.
My first reaction to Marcus' substitution was 'Why bring on
Herron for only 4 minutes' - what do I know - must still be
scarred by the last minute efforts of Ben Bottica and Jeremy
Staunton.

It would be nice to play like we want them to, for 80. But it
wouldn’t be as much fun; and we’d rather they they took us all
to the edge, every time...

In any game you will have periods where the other side has the
momentum. It’s almost impossible to dominate a game for the full
80. The question is how a ream copes with those periods of
pressure. This Quins side still has a lot to learn, but it is
beginning to be able to tough out the periods when it’s not on
top.
We forget how many times the 2011-12 Quins had to come from
behind or scrape through a long period of pressure, but there
were a lot of them over the course of the season, including the
last 30 minutes or so of the final itself.
