Yes and we are supposed to be signing the very impressive Nick
David too, who is a winger. Have a look at his try yesterday for
the Warriors and against Glous.
I suspect Lynagh is the long term 15, however if that is the
case, then I would of liked to see him start there from now
until the end of the season, of Brown is I hired or rested.

Brown has been playing too well this season to be anything but
the number one number 15. Not only in defence but how often is
he involved in a try or is the man outside when a try is scored.
Defensive full back - pah!
That said, yes there's a consensus that Landajo has promised
much and delivered little. I know he suffers from chopping and
changing, but all substitutes have to put up with that, and
others have stepped up to the plate better than he has.
If you could bottle enthusiasm then we should keep Elia Elia for
that, otherwise he always seems close to being a good squad
player - but he's not and how much time do we give him?
I knew little about Kenningham or Green, but both certainly made
an impact in yesterday's game.

I agree with much of what has been said. One point though.
Both Elia Elia and Baldwin have looked poor when not starting
regularly and good once they've each had a decent run of games.
Maybe hooker is more sensitive to game time than other
positions. Not really sure what the best way to deal with this
is. More rotation perhaps.
Landajo's service is just too slow for the sort of game plan
Quins are trying to play. I don't think this is fixable.

Thanks to Bath we are still 3rd
That being said thought a good few did well yesterday, but with
no A league, it’s hard to build quality in depth with little to
no game time for some

Elia should have just done what Falcons' hooker did and not
bothered trying to throw it in straight. The ref didn't seem
particularly fussed about it apart from one which was so
obviously he really couldn't ignore it

Quite a lot of positives to take despite the result. Anyone else
think we should have gone for the try near the end of the match
and kill the game off? It would have been a gamble but we
already had a point in the bag and probably would have finished
them off.

Yes I thought we should at the time as although we got the three
points it puts the ball straight back down into our half from
their kickoff so suspected more than three might be required.
also we were at full strength lineout wise apart from Symons
(although young isnt short !!)with Baldwin and Dombrandt on. it
looked like they considered it but went for the safer option.It
very nearly worked out as Marcus was lining up that long penalty
when they decided to review followed by yellow reverse penalty
and the rest s history

If we had decided to kick for touch at the end instead of going
for goal, and Smith had then immediately kicked to touch, rather
than taking a minute or so to line the ball up, could the ref
then have gone back once the TMO had intervened? I know that
sometimes players try to take a conversion quickly to stop TMO
intervention, so can it work the same way with a penalty?
