His final season in SR, he was loaned to the Lions, he spent
most of his time playing 6 (if my memory serves me)

Very interesting to compare Dean's predictions on half backs and
back row, with our eventual team. No reference to Mike Brown by
Deano

I'd missed Lewies at 6 - makes for a very strong setpiece but
perhaps lacking a bit of pace in the back row. I also love the
idea of Dommers being able to come on for the last 30 and wreak
some havoc, but we could be in a pickle if Kenningham gets
injured or overawed.
I am guessing that we may not risk Smith for the whole game and
switch to playing off 9 with Danny, Brett and Alex coming on
together around 60 minutes unless it's really tight.

Like the idea of Care and Dombrandt off the bench, that’s a
pretty potent weapon for the final 20 if needed. Glad to see the
injury list getting shorter too, let’s hope it stays that way.

Interesting team selection, with a nice balance between
experience and a few young guns thrown in.
We do have some good impact players on the bench. It’ll be
interesting to see how Newcastle will react to the weeks off.
Will they come out firing and pumped up or be rusty. Let’s hope
the good feeling generated over the last few weeks can rub off
on this selection and we can get another win.

Newcastle have big pack. Looking at us, 3 locks plus Chisholm,
we have got some beef also, any of our front rows combinations
are lumps.

We've played Chisholm at 7 a few times, I think. Not ideal
obviously - which is why the youngster is starting - but it
wouldn't be the end of the world.

8 changes against a full strength Falcons team who have had 2
weeks rest is too many I fear.
It feels weird that we’d pick an extra lock at 6 to give us
another line out option, and then pick a hooker who can’t throw
his darts.
A brand new back row feels nervy, but excited to see how
Kenningham goes.
Lovely to have Northmore back - was one of our form players
before injury and looked lively last week
