Daly got to a world cup final playing fullback - he can't be
that bad! I agree it's not his natural position but he does
bring an attacking edge and good kicking game when on form. Yes
I'd prefer a Mike Brown type, but he's not going to get back in
the England side now and what other options are there? Furbank
looked worse than Daly and Watson hasn't impressed there either.

Oh right, yeah, I’m with you on that one!
I’m surprised by the support for Malins. For me he’s a solid
club player but I just don’t think he is good enough to play for
England at the moment. He’s got decent hands, though I wouldn’t
say spectacular. The same for his kicking game. But he lacks
pace for a 15 and defensively and under the high ball he isn’t
the best. I don’t really see what he brings to the table. 15 is
a bit of a problem position for us... I would go with Watson any
day of the week. Easily better under the high ball, defensively,
and brings a lot more pace. On par in terms of kicking, or maybe
edges it. Watson is slightly less creative with ball in hand,
but with Slade at 13 and England never passing the ball anyway,
that doesn’t really matter.

No way play Watson at FB. He is much more effective on the wing.
Even Ugo Monye said it the other day on the BBC pod.
I have seen Watson be okay at Full back for Bath. But nothing
special.
Malins is a very quick player, especially his acceleration. He
will get quicker, just like Brown did when he first came
through, everyone said he was too slow for England.
Stewart the 15 at Leicester is probably to long term full back.
However, he has only played a few games for the Tigers. He is
6'5, great in the air and had decent pace.

Malins is pretty rapid and has great hands what with him being a
converted 10, so...

I thought the 12x timetable invented in the Forest of Dean, not
the Channel Islands...
