Lima Sopoaga at £720,000, and therefore 2nd highest player in
the prem looks like a poor piece of business at the moment.
Dropped from his favoured position, and reason he was signed, to
full back and not shining there. Such a shame as he came over
with a big fanfare.

Obviously you have to take some of those figures with a pinch of
salt, and also accept that not all big money signing will work
out, but there are some alleged salaries on there which are hard
to get your head around

Also shows how out of kilter some alleged salaries are. Charles
Piutau £1m looks ridiculous when compared with other players.
Would you rather one of him or (almost) 2 Radradras?

I don't think they get Radradra without Piutau.
No way is Sopoaga paid £720k. Over 2 years, maybe.

The issue is, when he signed the contract, he was in and around
All Blacks squads. That's the thing about contracts - they're
snapshots in time. He definitely isn't worth that in terms of
the value he's brought to Wasps, but when he signed it, they
clearly felt he would be. Always a bit of a g-a-m-b-l-e.

He had dropped off a bit, though, and while "All Black" is still
important, it's not quite the sign of quality it once was.
That's Beauden Barrett kind money, not squad player.
