Still in such a good mood from Saturday :)
Also, this is an interesting one. I know it's only 1 game in but
       it's a good start:
       Tackle Success:
       1) Bath - 84.9%
       2) Harlequins - 84.0%
       3) Bristol - 83.9%
       4) Northampton - 83.8%
       5) Gloucester - 83.0%
       6) Saracens - 82.6%
       7) Exeter - 82.4%
       = Sale - 82.4%
       9) Newcastle - 82.3%
       10) Worcester - 80.9%
       11) Wasps - 80%
       12) Leicester - 72.7%

The point several posters have made about not falling to pieces
after conceding two quick tries is a very good one. Clearly our
fitness but also our mindset / attitude / mental strength (call
it what you wish) are improved.
If we can cut down on the number of unnecessary turnovers (not
just spilling the ball, but poor kicking too) which hurt us in
the first half, then the signs are really positive.
I thought Sale looked like they were trying to slow the game
down and they got away with a lot of blocking, mainly of
chasers, but also a couple of times in open play. I know that
all teams block chasers and refs let it go, but I really wish
they'd clamp down on it, and it was particularly bad I thought
       on Saturday.
Big job now for those not selected to put in a good performance
in the A game and training, whivh can only improve standards
       further.

Some other interesting stats - we conceded 5 turnovers to Sale's
15, and won 85/85 of our own rucks.
We did give 11 pens away to their 8, and kicked from hand (often
badly, especially in the first half) 25 times vs 11. But all in
all, defensively especially, a great start.

It's a Saracens tactic the kicking thing. If you can't run the
ball up the pitch, kick it and trust your defence to get the
ball back eventually from somewhere in front of where you kicked
       it.

Sarries don't tend to kick it straight to a stationary back 3
       player though...

I thought that our start/restart kicks were all way too long
especially when compared to those from MacGinty, all of which
were very high and gave the Sale chasers plenty of time to get
up to challenge foe the ball.
