Contrast between the halves. Kicking badly and losing
possession. Silly mistakes. Individual errors. All in the first
half. But still the better team. Sort those problems and we cut
       loose.
Not getting carried away, so much to work on but great second
       half and great win.
Special mentions to Earle, marler, marchant and tapuai. Morris
with a lovely break. Smith v solid. Collier 90 mins?
       Could get used to that

That was pleasing. A wonderful start to the season, at the Stoop
rather than the LDH. Many positives. Best for me, Ben Tapuai,
we've done well with the centre exchange with Bath! MOM for me,
did more in one half than Jamie Roberts over three seasons. All
the new signings did well. Defence was very solid in set play,
with tries conceded from broken play. At 7-14 we could have gone
to pieces. Scrums & Lineout all solid. Early signs but good
signs. Just a really good day at the Stoop & a fantastic one for
       Paul Gustard.

Superb defence - and real commitment and heart - what a great
       afternoon

Well played boys! Definitely one of the best first game
performances by Quins in many years. We looked real hungry and
up for it. Bothma on fire in the first half. Would have given
MOTM to Ben Tapuai - 2 crucial tries. He had a great game. Our
breakdown work was much more competitive. Other positives were
Morris at fullback and James Chis in the matchday squad having
not appeared in any friendly! Robbo as usual played his heart
       out.
It is going to be a long, tough season, but a great start. Well
       done the coaches.

I agree with a lot of the above. Defence was significantly
better and the mentality (throughout the game) was much
improved. I also like that we kept 15 men on the pitch, didn't
concede when under pressure and looked sharp on the counter
       attack. Come on you Quins!

Anyone else enjoying the radio silence from the people who were
telling us the pre season team line ups were bizarre and that
the performances meant we were doomed?

Not so much enjoying as deeply puzzled. Have we really come so
far down the path of negativity that we can’t enjoy and
       celebrate an impressive win?

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the scrum - I thought we
were fantastic in the tight today. The attacking of the
breakdown and the line out steals showed what a great job the
forwards did all match. The backs will get the plaudits but the
forwards set the foundations of that victory

Enjoyed that clip, thanks for posting B.B. I couldn’t be there
yesterday so listened on radio from holiday. Was distressed when
we let two tries slip after some decent defence and I had that
growing sense that our heads might drop. But great to hear
reports on here greater attack at the breakdown, good defence
patterns (claimed on radio), decent tackling and strong mental
approach. This does sound like a team that is learning a new
way. Delighted for the new management and the team. The Glasgow
nightmare may be no more that, a bad dream, soon forgotten.
