Genuine question but do we need a DOR?
BM manages the team logistics/recruitment etc, Coaches prepare
the team and the players play. Just a thought? ???

In the past (Mark Evans), it highlighted the need to have people
in their specific roles as multitasking didn't end well.
That said, things are working right now, so I'd be happy with
the current status quo.

When Millard was interviewd, unless I heard wrongly, Im sure he
also said he deals with the womens team (in terms of recruitment
etc). Thats alot of work for one bloke. Short term maybe, but
long term, when we have a bad run etc, he may need some help

If he wants it, I think there will be a fair chance he is
considered

It's a valid question. Lets see how the rest of the season goes.
If the current structure continues to works for us, then the
question would be why change? If BM is happy being the top man
but being more hands off then a traditional DoR and allowing the
coaches greater autonomy, then let's roll with it.
The only conclusion I've come to is that, whatever changes are
made, we need a DoR/Head Coach who is attack minded. Attack is
in the clubs DNA and the league is currently littered with
forward/defence coaches who have stepped up with questionable
results.

Flannery could or appears to be Head coach so if Billy can
handle the rest and we continue to improve why bring in anybody
else. We have until the end of the season to see if it works.

Was Millard there yesterday? Everytime the cameras showed the
Quins coaches, it was Jones, Evans, Flannery, with Evans looking
to me like he was the man in charge.

Pretty sure I saw him. The impression I got from reading
different bits, is that Flannery seems to be the "Main" coach.
Millard has the final say though.

Flannery certainly speaks like a head coach when interviewed. He
seems to be born into it somehow. Obviously a great player in
his day &na very likeable guy. Not unhappy with him around the
place!
