How many passes did he drop today, throw in the awful kick when
we had an overlap.
He needs to really start performing going forward. His run for
Dommers first try was excellent.
Very disappointing from what was a very good team performance
for 60 mins.

I don’t think he was helped by the Lang standing really deep at
10 and the whole back line crabbing sideways, but certainly not
his best game.

I was hoping his NZ venture would improve him. I think most
would pick a Marchant pre boarding flight than the one now

He was an error prone shadow of his former self but it made a
positive difference to see him actually involved in so many
things during the course of a match.

So if Northmore is fit is it JM or him? I thought Northmore had
been looking pretty good before injury

Marchant's quality isn't in doubt. He needs a consistent run of
games and I'm sure we'll see him back to his best.
Being on the fringes of the England squad hasn't really helped
him. Misses club rugby and yet gets virtually zero minutes in an
England shirt.
If he doesn't step up we have Northmore, who I've been impressed
with.

In attack was poor, but defensive excellent. Away with England
and since he was been in the side since return from NZ he has
hardly touched ball in attack.

IMHO, Too much looking at what’s coming to tackle him and what
he will have to do after catching it, rather than concentrating
on catching the pass.....still has more skill in his little
finger than most.
But still solid in defence!

His defence was excellent last week and this week, also.
I don't think he was given quality ball but he does look short
of confidence and decisiveness. Northmore has been a lot more
effective in making ground, by contrast.
Marchant needs a try and it will restore his fizz. In football
terms, he needs one to go in off his backside! Class is
permanent, as they say. He will get back to his best. Next week,
I reckon.
