Good summary. Tizard has done well when called upon but there is
a significant drop off in quality from Lewies/Symons and the
rest of our locks. Tizard and Hamilton may get there, but imo we
really do need another quality established lock. Shame the
Stooke rumours don't appear to have amounted to much.
I'd be happy with Lewies, Symons, another quality established
lock plus Tizard and Hamilton as our options.
I'm a bit meh when it comes to Lamb. He's done okay, but no more
than that. I'm not sure if he sees himself as a lock or a 6? I
think he might be better suited as a hard carrying/tackling 6.
He seems to have the athleticism needed for 6.

I disagree on Tizard. I think he didn't look out of place
alongside Young, and Young this season has been closer to Lewies
and Symons than he was last year. The latter two are still our
best pairing, but it's not a big step.
Lamb seems to be specialising at lock, which could work - George
Robson was originally meant to be a long term 6. But I think
he's got to find something to stand out at; at the moment he's a
handy squad player but he needs a point of difference.

Yep. Agreed on all points.
With Tizard vs. Hammond, I think it may simply be that the
former is slightly more physically robust. Hammond is still very
slight so is most likely on a plan to bulk up as Lamb has done
in the last year or so. If he can do that, he may prove to be
the better player in the medium term.
As you say, White did well against Wasps but I’ve typically been
unimpressed by him, while Kenningham has always looked good when
given an opportunity. I’ve nothing against White. If he comes
good, that’s a win for the club.

Fair enough, although I don't think it's a coincidence that we
had our first choice pair (and in fairness tight five) out this
weekend.
I do rate Tizard and think he's a definite future first team
player, but possibly a big ask for him to step up on a regular
basis this/next season, which based on Symons and Lewies injury
record, he would need to do. Ideally we will use the Tex/Young
salary savings for a lock who can challenge Lewies and Symons
for their first team spots straight away whilst Tizard and
Hammond continue to develop.

Didn't Archie White go to NZ for development around the time
Marchant went to the Blues? I think he went to play for Bay of
Plenty in the Mitre 10 Cup. That's where Gopperth came from back
in the day.

Was supposed to or went for a short time but got injured and
didn’t play and came back I think
