On the notion teams are worse off than us, a team we as fans
probably consider “beneath us” in ability, Worcester pushed an
Exeter side not too far off the one we played right to the final
whistle.

But at the same time they were beaten 29-10 by a saints side we
beat quite comfortably

I think we do have the players and the quality - getting them to
play to their ability for the full 80 minutes, consistently, has
been the problem...

Pat Lam, where he was coach has always done well even before
Bristol, which has very strong players that many teams would
like.
In the 2015-16 season, he won with Pro12 with Connacht, who
certainly did not have famous players or great financial
resources, and has always been considered the last of the 4
Irish club teams.

Radradra Hughes Uren Afoa Piutau Luataua Lloyd......

I’d love to know where the “ Team beneath us” and Wor ster comes
to mind
Rarely ever get a win there and completely humiliated us last
season at Sixways
What’s more concerning is I thought our best performance this
season so far was against Gloucester.

I think it comes from a comparison over time of respective
league positions, despite our struggles we’ve always almost
finished above them. Then when you add in having a good share of
international players and a bit more fanfare, coupled with
having won the title (granted a while ago)
I think for a lot of fans including myself, the general rankings
before a ball would be kicked at the start of this season..
elite likely title winning teams currently consisting of Exeter,
Bristol... then you have a small group most likely to push for
the remaining two play off spaces consisting of Sale,Wasps..then
down from that you have the mid table scout jamboree all capable
of getting into the tier above, consisting of us, Bath,
Gloucester, saints.. then you have the only here to sweep up and
make the teas like teams with LI, Wuss, Newcastle. Leicester are
probably in the mix as well.
Falcons have far exceeded what anyone could have predicted.

Marler, Evans, Dombrandt, Care, Smith, Ester, Marchant, Brown
It's not lack of players - its getting them to play to their
evident abilities, consistently...
