Exactly what I said! Why, oh why would Smith leave us to go
       there?!!!
Briz were electric and look a serious outfit. They have stuck to
their style but built a sense of determination with it. Hughes
and Radrada make a difference too! Players are encouraged to
express themselves and Lam seems to be miffed if they don't
       give that 100%.
It goes without saying that I would love us to move in this
direction. And I think the players would too.

Playing at 12, he can tackle, run, offload. Looking like the
       complete player.

Like a rugby player, you mean?

Yes, like a rugby player 🤣
A very good improving youngish 12. A position that England have
       struggled with over the years.

       Just what I was thinking
I know lots aren’t on Twitter, but you should see the Bath
       supporters comments
Bristol looked on fire, when was the last time you saw 800
       metres made in a game
Have a look at this for defence from Joseph , shocking

On his recent showings I think Eddie Jones has probably deleted
       JJ’s number.

I've always seen a difference in JJ for club and country re
tackling. Don't think it's anything new.

To be fair they had quite a few missing amongst the 23 they
       selected last night.

Stuart Hopper, seems, like most young DORs in the premiership,
to have learnt his trade from the same coaching manual as Paul
Gustard - and has also been found out.
Thank goodness (for every spectator's sake) Pam Lamb, who
comes from a different rugby culture, has quickly found a
positive and exciting way forward in the Premiership -
particularly providing the 'rugby' answer to endless,
soul-destroying aerial ping-pong. Just leave Radradra to catch
the ball from the kick-off, let him tie up three approaching
backs and then off-load to a winger with half the pitch open to
       exploit.
Hughes, Uren, Afoa, Piutau and rookie Lloyd were superb and
played at 100% throughout the game. I hope the Quins squad and
coaches were watching because they are light years away in terms
       of application, fitness and discipline.
What the Bears have shown is that there is another way of
playing the game that is different and successful - without
copying Rob Baxter or Eddie Jones.
This is not to say Billy Millard and Quins blindly try to copy
Bristol. We haven't the players or the ability - but we
might already have the right coaches (free of Gustard) to
rediscover the ethos of the club and our own distinctive playing
       style.
       (It's nice to dream :-\)

In answer to the Smith to Bath rumours - At least if he stays at
the Stoop - he knows that the pitch will not be underwater for
       most of the season....
