And Marchant in the "shadow" squad that will be undergoing the
same protocols in case they need to be called up.
No Sinckler is a bit of a surprise - is he still serving out his
       ban?

Sinckler will miss the first match and as the players need to be
in the "Bubble" for 8 weeks and aren't meant to be dropping in
and out, I guess he misses out. Any sort of injury though and I
       guess he'll be in

No on BBC it says they will remain and play for their clubs,
which seems strange but may also allow Sinckler a chance to come
       back in if required

Fair play to Marler, he's admitted he's struggled in the past
with being away from the family so 8 weeks is going to be tough.
He will certainly be missed by us, not an area we have a lot of
       strength and depth in unfortunately.

I'm always somewhat surprised by how prepared fans on other
boards are to write off Marler. He's usually viewed as behind
Mako when Mako is fit, and there are plenty of calls to have
Genge and Obano in ahead of him.
For me, he remains probably the best scrummaging loosehead in
England and one of the best in the world, and almost certainly
the best defensive prop as well. It's clear that Eddie sees
value in him - which was rewarded with his impact when he
finally got on in the ANC Final. It will be interesting to see
if he's up for the Lions (if the Lions goes ahead) and whether
Gatland sees him as a player to take.

Marler has withdrawn from the squad for personal reasons.

Not surprising, I didn't think he would want to spend 2 months
away from his family if that is the reason.

[quote=Joe Marler]Always grateful for the opportunity so not an

times and won’t be meeting up with the squad for this
tournament. Look forward to watching the team rip in. Go

Yep, I can understand where he's coming from on this.
Particularly given his past experiences and new baby Marler just
       round the corner.
