I now see it has been confirmed by the club. Oh dear.
Best wishes to Gussy.
Fingers crossed our next appointment can get it right, with
quality and style.

If it's true that we've offered Smith to rivals, then I suspect
Gustard will have jumped rather than being pushed.
I'm sure the details will emerge in due course.
Lancaster as a replacement? Has done well at Leinster by all
reports.

Cockerill is a good shout. But not sure we're a more attractive
project then Edinburgh

I don't have any insider view on this, and I hope it wasn't the
case, but one way this could have unfolded would be if the key
players up for renewal refused to sign unless Gustard left. If
so, it's a shame that it got to that point and I hope that
Millard can hold the squad together as it was building in a
promising direction.

It such a shame. However, there seems to have been a rotten
apple or two at the club for the past few months.
Let's hope that Gustard is the only rotten apple left. The
players must have their reasons for looking elsewhere.
Interesting times, lets hope that the club can ride out the
waves caused by this and COVID.

It looks to me that Quins are in serious financial trouble and
maybe saw the opportunity to offload a big salary if there's
interest in him from Wales as reported. If Marcus has also been
offered out to other clubs for a transfer fee (as reported) and
the rumours are true about Marler and Marchant wanting to leave,
we could be about to experience a significant downsizing in size
and quality of our squad.

Gustard to replace Sanderson as Sarries defence coach?! Released
with immediate effect to pursue other opportunities. The whole
thing is a worry, first Ashton on the podcast, rumours about
Smith and poor form this season have piled onto a tricky
situation.

Lancaster is a no from me... good technical coach by all
accounts but I don't think he's what we need.
We need an absolute no-nonsense, "what i say goes" type DOR. The
way Dean Richards was. People disagreed with him but they
respected him and his orders and performed accordingly. With PG
and JK you get the impression that when the disagreements
happened, the respect went with it. That can't happen!
