I only wish I could click 'Agree' more times!
As the club is evolving and the make up of the squad is
changing, Marcus is absolutely at the forefront of the club's
       drive for future success.
He was a huge talent when he came on the scene and is
fundamental to the exciting attacking way we want to play, and
sometimes manage to achieve! His relationship with Care has
really improved; Care certainly trusts him more and this has
allowed Marcus to grow as a player and become a more effective
decision maker. I think he is also building a very good
relationship with Scott Steele, which is important if he is to
be Danny's full time replacement in a year or two.
The other player that we would put in this top tier of
importance is Alex Dombrandt. What is lovely to see is that
Marcus and Alex are developing a very strong link between
themselves, as well. I mean on the pitch but also as part of the
long term group of senior Quins.
I can't see either of them leaving. (Said with utter confidence
       and fingers secretly crossed!)

I saw him in the Floodlit 7s in 2019 and he looked decent then.
We had a great team that year. Calum Waters basically tore most
       teams to shreds.

Other than more money, I'm not really sure what Smith would
achieve by going to Bath. I know they made the play offs last
year, but I don't see them as a club that is consistently going
to compete for the premiership and in Europe. If you look at the
teams who would be regularly competing based on recent form,
Exeter, Sarries, Wasps, Bristol, they all have decent options at
       10. If Sheedy decides that he needs to move to Wales, that seems
the most likely option to me. Just don't see what would be in it
for Smith at Bath, unless he's unhappy here. He's already on top
money here and will probably be able to negotiate more when he
       re-signs

Also, it's Bath! Great city, great club, but I am sure Marcus
wouldn't want to play for them!
(Still bitter about Stuart Barnes' drop goal in extra-time of
       the Pilkington Cup final!)

Also worth bearing in mind that the salary cap for next season
has been reduced to £5m, and I think with us Marcus would still
qualify for academy bumps in that which other clubs won't get?
Next year won't be an easy one in which to bid for talent.

       Russell, fail in recent times.

This is taken from the ruck website and the source it references
is the daily mail article from November. I don’t think there’s
any new news to report here.

Agree 100%. If the offer is right then I'm confident he'll sign.
He is a guaranteed starter and in the leadership group already.
He would also only be circa 24/25 after on expiry of the
contract extension, so plenty of time to have a better shot at
silverware if Quins haven't moved forward by then.
Bath would be a sideways move. Plus the Rec pitch is a bog and
       wouldn't suit him.

Of all the rumours this is the worst for Quins you can replace
the others but Marcus has an X factor that cannot be replaced we
must keep him and build our team around his skills, he also
embodies the free flowing Quins style of old.

Yep, nothing to see here, move along.
Exeter or Sarries and possibly Wasps else he achieves nothing by
moving. Along with Dombrandt and possibly Murley, I'd pay them
what they want to stay and build a future.

Marcus is such good box office, we’ll just have to get used to
       such rumours.
