Bearing in mind that Gussy has said that he wants a younger
squad, wouldn't it be funny if -
- Young leaves
and Chris Auld were to join
Replacing Young with "Old"

Good luck to both players. But... in the clubs interest both
should be back up for rest of season
There’s no benefit to us playing them. We’re heading for another
mid table finish so we should give the game time to players who
are staying or academy prospects.

I like Gustard's quote about Young in the press release "“Big
Chug has developed well over the two seasons with us and we have
started to see more of the potential we spotted at the Falcons"
...... so now that he is showing that form we are letting him
go.
Let that be a warning to our other new signings. Don't show the
form we signed you for or you will know what happens :)

It is clear that neither are 1st team starters when everyone is
fit and so understandable why they would want to leave to
further career. Clear that Young also wants to be closer to
family and that is understandable.

Does anyone else find the compulsory use of player nicknames in
any quotes from Paul Gustard a little disingenious ? I'm
probably being overly critical, but it does seem to be a forced
attempt to emphasise what a close relationship he has with all
the playing squad ?

Not exclusive to PG though. Seems a regular thing in most
sports now. Another for me, in football esp is "gaffer" or the
constant need to say "Football Club"
"Yeah, he is great for this football club, he loves the football
club and the football club loves him"

Pretty unusual for Quins to announce departures this early
though, normally towards the back end of the season unless the
players/new club have pushed for it......

Personally disappointed that Lang is going. He has really been
improving and is great fun to watch. Quite understandable though
if he wants to play more for Scotland.
