I’m not sure about that. Ashton’s signing was announced long
before Gabs’ leaving was announced. I guess the Ibitoye
situation may have been sorted earlier and just not announced,
but that’s not how it seemed to play out. If anything, the
signing of Ashton seemed to drive Ibitoye out. But that’s just
speculation.
Anyway, Ashton won’t be missed if he leaves. It was always an
odd signing. Though personally I’m much more concerned by Care’s
mentality than that of Ashton’s, following the comments after
the Racing game.

Shame as I think Baldwin has been playing well. We have some
good young hookers though.
Gustard going will please some, wonder who will be the man???
Any incoming Arnie??

Baldwin - 2 year deal.....makes sense end of 2 years. Closer to
home for him.
Ashton leaving not surprising.
Gustard probably 3 year deal....could make sense end of year.
Interesting who we would get as head of rugby.....I think this
would be a shame in the long run.

I really hope we do not promote from within (a decent coach will
cost, money is tight I imagine)

I’d not renew my season ticket if we did. Nobody in the current
coaching set up appears to be DOR material.

Arniepie tends to know. If true, it shows what a mess the club
is in and that we’ve got yet more wilderness years ahead of us.
Can we please have an experienced DoR this time?

Not sure it means wilderness years. A DoR can come in and make
an impact without having to build (Wasps).
Will be interesting who gets linked etc. People will ask who is
available but there are always options, its ot limited to who
is out of work currently. Although saying that, I would expect
Ryan and Diamond to be linked. I am sure it would go down like
a lead balloon, but I would love to get Richards back

I would like Scott Robertson, wasn't he in the running last time
though?
