Hope the player who tested positive is ok. Bit of a shame, but
was bound to happen to us eventually. I can't believe they will
relegate anyone this year. With the cancellation of fixtures and
the financial pressures on clubs, now would seem a sensible time
to scrap relegation this year, bring Sarries and Ealing up and
then ringfence, but only for a set number of years.
Ringfence for 2 or 3 years to allow clubs to plan for that
period. That doesn't then stop "the next Exeter" from coming up.
It would give someone like Cornish Pirates a set period of time
to get ready for promotion, and then after 3 years, give new
clubs a chance to join. I'm not sure what the criteria for
joining would be, and whether you'd have relegation at the end
of the 3 years, but seems a good time to go for short term
       ringfencing now.
I'm sure they can come up with some way of keeping matches
entertaining where there would otherwise be nothing to play for.
Not sure what exactly, but sure there would be some workable
       options

With no pressure of relegation, you might find clubs are
prepared to give youngsters a run. Our BR as an example. We
are short, we all know it. We signed RDC on a short term deal.
If we had no pressure of relegation, PG might turn around and
decide to give Keningham a run in the team instead.

A Bristol front row has apparently tested positive, but the rest
are ok and they are ok to play. Without knowing the ins and
outs, it could be possible we got it from him last game??
Just read more, apparently the entire Bristol front row from
last week are in isolation. They did not return to training
until Tuesday (after the weekly Covid results came back).
So from that does it mean
a Its very likely they infected our player (who is a front row I
believe). Based on that, there is no reason to think any Quins
player "Breached" any bubbles etc, so will the panel take that
into account when they allocate the points? (as I thought the 4
       - 2 split was done as a kind of Punishment)
b If they had returned to training before the tests came back,
would they have been likely to cancel also

Saracens and Ealing to be promoted then ring fencing.......
allows stability and IMHO probably survival of a professional
       league as we know it.

Ealing being ringfenced into the Premiership would make a
mockery of all the promotion & relegation we've had before. They
       have money and nothing else.

I hope all affected are ok.
I look forward to Monye now coming out and making all sorts of
ridiculous unfounded accusations about Quins players partying at
University Halls of Residence, having previously drunk the local
hostelries dry following their last match.

Not sure they have nothing else to be fair, great facilities for
a start, but it’s essential that whoever try’s for the
Premiership has considerable money behind them else they won’t
be able to compete with the side that’s relegated due to the
amount they get compared to the championship sides -
unfortunately professional rugby is now unsustainable without TV
money and an owner with deep pockets is also required by most to
       survive....

Can Ealing promote with their current ground? Genuine question
never been but don’t think it’s sufficient is it?

Been to see the London Broncos quite a bit. In truth the ground
is no where near Prem Rugby standard. The London Broncos are
looking to move as in truth its not up to standard. Thet have
made some improvements but long term there needs to be alot of
       work done (if they can)
