in fact I would have looked for a n. 8 and him to play n. 6

I feel a bit sorry for Chis.
I thought that he had a decent game yesterday.
He should be club captain this year and he should be starting.

I think if we were playing a must win game tomorrow, he would be
       in the starting line up.

You would have some point if it was already 0-30 and not 0-7.
You obviously do not understand how momentum can work in games,
and how mindsets can change. If we got a score and made it 3-7,
or even 7-7 it adds a different complexity...being 0-17 down
(with 10 coming in VERY quick succession) it will be mentally
very damaging. In my first scenario, the game is already gone
which even the most rose tinted fan will accept..the timings of
his penalties, it was still a decisive period.

When I read someone saying "you obviously do not understand" in
response to a post they don't agree with I'm afraid I tend to
skip the rest of the post.
       Probably just me.

If the 1st post is true, surely Club and Country are in
conflict, If Quins are as professional as they make out they
will have an ideal playing weight for all the players, and if so
why is it different for England. OR is this why we get so many
injuries and we are not professional in the ideal weight and
       weight control of the players.

When he started playing, there was mention about his university
rig and there was mention about reducing his weight and
       improving his fitness.
So, there is probably some alignment.

Or club and country just have different ideas based on what they
expect from players. (Time on the pitch etc)

Or people read something second hand about Eddie wanting him to
lose weight and so automatically think that Quins didn't want
       him to lose weight.

There's always a bit of friction between club and country over
player preparation, but yeah, think Eddie and Gustard were in
       agreement about fitness levels.
