probably the best players in these positions at the club.

that point, he may drop to the bench or only get picked when
there is an injury. But, until then, having him in the squad
means that some of the younger players have to step up and be
better than him. This is good for the team.

Nev case in point? Although I can't remember if Nick/Marcus had
       much overlap before he retired.

it's a nice place to spend a couple of years too. He's still
clearly our best 9, but Steele looks to be a good back up for
now. I do think we'd need to replace him with a clear first
choice though, unless Steele really steps up.

Personally, what I have seen of Steele to date, he is stepping
       up.

I agree that Steele looks really good. I suppose the issue is
that we don't know if he'd be good enough to be a regular first
choice starter, but then we won't know that unless he gets a run
of games. We'll only really know if Danny gets injured

Marcus would only have overlapped with NEv in training. He only
made the senior squad in the 2017/18 season as second choice
behind the incoming Catrakilis who replaced NEv on his
retirement at the end of the previous season.

"Can they take Brown with them?"
Leave him alone, he's just come back from a long injury. He'll
hopefully be with us for a few more years yet.

Steele aspires to be the future No9 for Scotland. To secure
that place he will need to begin starting games and seeing them
through, playing against the best that the Premiership & Europe
       has to offer.
From what I have seen he is ready to start and he is certainly
motivated enough to pursue his career to our benefit. He has
excellent pace, a good flat pass and he really follows the game
well. He absolutely earned his try against Northampton - he
made the initial tackle, got straight to his feet and caught up
with the ball carrier ready for the offload.

I don't know what is more annoying, these pointless , factless
       stories or the trolls?
If true, DC would deserve the pension boost and Steel will only
improve once he's starting more games but looks really good. MB,
as pointed out previously is still the best 1 on 1 defender as
he has proved in the last two games and I'd still rather have
him back there. Green may well prove to be a great replacement
       but that'll take time.

So we have Brown, White, Gray and Green - any other colours? All
we need is light blue, red and black and we have a team shirt!
