Fully agree. Correct decision on the disallowed try. Not that
the ref had a good game but we benefited as much as we suffered
from that

The game changed when the ref blew the whistle to start the
game! We were never in it, didn’t come close to looking like we
could threaten this absolute juggernaut of a club. There won’t
be many teams that can stand up to them. If I’m wrong & a few
can, then Quins are in for a very hard year, because those other
teams won’t give us a chance either. Early days yet, but we have
a lot of improving to do. Bit disheartening wasn’t it..!!

Only making a point that in my opinion they played more rugby
than Quins tonight and those four players contributed to that.
I'm not a fan of the style of play they reverted to, but it's
certainly effective.

Whatever you say, it's a complete humiliation (yet again). When
they ask me if I want to give them my money for nothing again
(as I did towards the end of last season — for which, BTW, I've
seen nothing back despite the promises — taking us for granted
again?) I'd have to be asking why would I want to do that, for
that pile of cr*p.

BUT they have no obvious stars and they're missing players. I
bet their wage bill is less than ours for that team sheet. Why
do we over-pay and under-coach?

The more his game declines, the more he does it. One of the
‘untouchables’. Still has a lot to offer. Coaches need the
bottle to call him out for this and drop him if he won’t change.
It actively hinders the team and is so negative in terms of
energy.

Up until 60 minutes we were in the game despite the appalling
attacking game plan. Why Marcus is always standing so deep off
of rucks compared to other 10’s in the league is a mystery.
Taking the ball flat & distributing at pace for crash ball isn’t
rocket science. Gussy’s more recent signings look decent but
unfortunately there is more of the old guard & deadwood to be
removed. Do we know if this is Gussy’s last year of contract?

Another 60 minute (at best) performance. The capitulation hurts
but isn't surprising at this point.

Same old "it's not his squad yet" excuses. It is his squad and
he's not coaching them well

I should have said before, I completely agree that his waving
arms thing is very annoying and utterly pointless. He never gets
a penalty that way and it just further slows us down. I hate it.
My point was that gustard can hardly come down on him for it
when his game plan is caterpillar rucks and box kicking. His
game plan is all about slow and predictable
