That injury list is mad for the start of a new season

It's still a scarily good Chiefs side, though.
But I like the look of that Quins side given the enforced
absences. Would be nice to have the Joes back, but it's a side
with potential. The bench is pretty strong as well - and will be
nice to get a first look at Green. Will he cover 10 if Marcus is
injured?

Agree the XV looks good considering the losses but cannot agree
the bench is pretty strong at all.
The last thing we needed going into such a meat-grinder of a
season was to start off with so many injuries. I dunno about
anyone else but I just hope we get through this season without
too much humiliation and/or relegation - everything else is
secondary IMO.

Because of the way last season ended and this one started (close
together) I dont think the injuries are a huge concern (in terms
of, we have not had 3 months off and come back to this). I
would guess a few sides will be in the same boat. No real
reason to expect any humiliation, im quite optimistic this
season actually.

I'm surprised none of you have picked up on ther
(unintentional?) error in the clubs' article...

Was just typing about that but got the 'someone else posted'
message. There's no way that's a spell check error.

A couple of mouth-watering match-ups - Simmons1 v Smith and
Simmons2 v Dombrandt !
I really don't know how this one is going to go. Quins are
perennial slow starters to a season, but with only a month off
since the last game, hopefully the players have been ticking
over rather than reverting to their usual summer slumber.
Looking forward to seeing our SA players hit the ground running
with more familiarity with our gameplan and teammates

Should be a good game. Two high quality starting XV's but
neither bench looks to have any fear factor.
Surprised Lasike is not named on the bench. I know he's one
dimensional, but highly effective, especially against tired legs
and minds.
