Don`t understand this continuous kicking tactic by England, I
cannot remember Italy not comfortably taking one ball yet.

Absolutely dire.
Eddie does not let this team play what's in front of them. Stick
to the game plan or you're out, as Danny found out.

It’s typical that when you need a bonus point win that should be
a given , England make hard work of it. The players need a
talking to at half time and to inject some intensity into the
second half performance.

Pundits saying stop kicking the ball away when that's what Ben
Youngs is picked for.
Just typing this and he scores s nice individual try. Fair play.

Missed so much of that match while yawning.
Oh well 5 points is 5 points but could have done with a bigger
win margin!

Well England got lucky in the end that the fixtures worked for
them. We needed the team performance against Australia and New
Zealand but we got the South Africa performance. Stunted, slow,
no creativity and why were the backs even out there?
Billy V looks a busted flush now, no impact at all. Time to roll
out the next generation in that position. Mako as well, time for
Genge to start more games. Farrell, I give up.

The team selection seemed to be based mainly on RWC2019 rather
than current form but the incessant kicking away of posession
when we needed to score maximum points was a bizarre tactic.
With the exception of Curry and Youngs who stood out (contrary
to my expectation) it was a really turgid performance. Billy V
had no impact at all - Earl, Willis and Simmons are all better
options. I couldn't believe that he took Watson off and replaced
him with Lawrence either - why not take Furbank off and move
Watson to fullback where he's played really well all season for
Bath, and surely Marchant was a better option for a Centre/Wing
bench option ?
