I don't think it's holier than thou to be annoyed by the likely
impact it'll have on the grassroots game when the RFU have to
refund Sky (not Murdoch's anymore) for not fulfilling the
fixture.
While I have and will lambast the old farts element of the RFU
on a regular basis for their past daft decisions, I'm not sure
how having their major revenue stream completely cut off by a
global pandemic is their fault. Nor is a group of players who
should know better breaking the rules that had been set down at
such a time.

This. With both now dropped from the squad, can't imagine
they're best pleased.
Also, do you get England match fees for the BaaBaa's game? I'd
be pretty annoyed with my ex-teammate costing me £17,250 so that
he could go drinking.

Maybe not the full international amount, but I would expect that
they get paid something.
