No Albig, the fixture cannot be fulfilled because Sale don't
have enough players available, regardless of reasons. Worcester
should be given the game. PRL are at fault as they run the
league and have allowed this to happen when their own rules
state that no games will be put back.

I’m with you Albig, though I do understand the confusion and
it’s all a bit messy. From my point of view, the more games that
get played the better so I welcome the chance for Sale and
Worcester to play if possible.

Sale maintain that they have enough players. Worcester are
technically the team that doesn't want to play.
Technically, Worcester should forfeit.

Interesting that Sale say they had a team but were not prepared
to announce it. Maybe they wanted to protect the identities of
the C19 players, but that would only make sense if they already
knew that Worcester wouldn't play them tomorrow.
As things stand, they know the planned Worcester team and may
(or may not) have enough leeway in their squad to adjust
accordingly.

I know this makes not a jot of difference to Quins whether this
game goes ahead or not, but reading the stories surrounding the
fixture, then one of theses clubs MUST forfeit the points and
the win.
To proceed with a postponement places both clubs (Sale in
particular) in an advantageous position knowing exactly is
required of them to achieve any ambitions.
Rules are in place to cover this situation, and these rules
should be followed if our game is to maintain any credibility in
respect of its administration.

I think that we will probably never know all the facts behind
this story.
But, I think the problem is that according to the rules, sale
should be awarded a 20-0 bonus point win. Bristol would be
pretty grumpy with this as they would then need to win their
game with a BP and also win by with a score something like 135
nil.
So, although it seems bad, this is probably the fairest
solution.

Whether its fair or not, if it is not following the rules that
were set out (no matter which team are at fault) its a bit
silly. As you say, we do not know all the ins and outs but from
the outside it does not look good

I think that the problem is that it is within the rules though.
I think there is an opportunity to delay kick off on certain
circumstances.
