Rugby - most of ND1 and huge swathes of clubs below it. As for
the premiership, probably Newcastle or even Gloucester and then
it could be the end of half the league. We can’t have no fans
for a year and expect anything to really keep going. This will
lead to a European league I expect. Clubs in Europe are having
fans back so I expect that will start to ramp up. We then see if
the like off Quins, Tigers and Saracens may even relocate. Think
that’s crazy? Is it more crazy than what is being imposed?
I can’t see the new season now starting. Are we seeing the end
of millions of jobs, the economy and the future of so many young
people?

Shows it is more important than ever for 20/21 we donate our
season tickets for every match we cannot attend

Sorry but I disagree. If I am unable to attend the matches for
whole or part of the season then I would want a refund. I'm not
in a position to just hand the money over for no return.

Don't be sorry Samquin, everyones financial situation is
different so those that can will and the others have to do what
is right for them.
Worrying days. The European League was going to happen anyway in
the next 5 years so this may well bring it forward.

Before handing money to the club, just think about it as the
people who own the club have a lot more money than virtually all
of us fans. If they cant afford to run the club they will have
to sell, and until that happens think twice about what you do
with the money.

The people who own the club do have a lot more money than us.
But they have also bankrolled the club's losses for over 20
years on the basis that eventually the club will become
profitable. Fans showing their support - and lessening the
increased financial burden - during a difficult time like this
is likely to be important in their decision on whether to
continue to support the club.
Also, the revenue that the club gets goes towards paying the
salaries of the non-playing staff, who for the most part even
less than many of us. The more money the club can make, the
fewer of job cuts it will have to make.
As anyone involved in community rugby knows, the job cuts made
by the RFU have been horrendous. Its revenues have fallen off a
cliff. The fans who have been able to donate have helped Quins
avoid that sort of drastic action.

It is very worrying for all those who draw a wage through rugby.
I hope this decision may be reversed sooner as I’m sure there
are many ST like me who are weighing up the options. I agree
that supporting the club is important and donated the remainder
of last seasons ticket, not sure I’ll donate an entire seasons
worth for no return.
I think Quins will survive it but at what cost I do not know.
