       Defensively better though.

Hard to show an attacking game when you don’t get the ball
       though.
I’ve watched all of our games since the restart and I can count
on one hand the amount of times I can recall Marchant getting
the ball in any kind of space.
Whether it’s a game plan or a lack of confidence, we’re pretty
much playing 10 man rugby and relying on the pressure from the
kick chase to force mistakes. It’s no fun being a centre in
       those circumstances.

Even if they weren’t playing theIr strongest starting line up,
their bench was far stronger than ours.

Either side of that we were poor and Sale’s better bench told.

But if you're always happy to lose to a team above you in the
table, how do you ever improve. Same as those saying that we
always lose to Worcester away. Just because we do doesn't mean
       it's good enough

I am not ‘happy to lose’. I just pointed out some of the
criticism was a bit over the top.

Trouble is QC... it's a cup final. There was silverware at
stake. That's never the time to take the long view and look at
       performance over results.

Why people blaming bench. What did Lang do that cost us the game
or ML that smith or DC would have not???
Lang has better kicking game than smith, that’s what we needed.
Yes Esther made a silly mistake, but could argue Robbo and Evans
       did as well.
Give the guys some credit. They showed guts, determination and
fight. They are improving as a squad and if you look we are at a
huge transition period and they are moving in right direction.
Few weeks ago people saying Morris should never wear a Quins
shirt and he was great tonight. Give the team credit.

Lang this season does not have a better kicking game than Smith.
Smith's found more range, and he's way better at aggressive
kicks and knowing when to kick.
Quins were utterly directionless with Lang at 10. We had the
ball in attacking situations and we were hopeless. He has no
idea how to control a game.

Pearce!!?? The magnetic ref? The one-armed wonder of Winchmore
Hill? I'll have some of what you're smoking my friend.....

We hardly attacked outside ten all night. Game plan was simple
and effective. Forward runners off 9 and then box kick. Kick
       chase and pressure on D.
Smith played well as did DC, but to say we were rudderless after
they went off is just not correct.
Lang has a bigger and better boot. That is why we wiper so much
when he plays and why he kicks for touch.
Yes Smith has more experience in running a game, but in final 15
mins we needed more tactical kicking. Issue is we didn’t put him
       positions to do this.

I'm sorry, I can't see how our dreadful play with ball in hand
after Smith went off was anything but rudderless. We went
backwards at a rate of knots.

That's right, you could argue that, but the point is that while
Evans and Robshaw's penalties can generate debate and be argued
either way, Esterhuizen's can not. That's the difference.
