I thought they told the Sports to "prepare" for no fans until
March 2021, but the situation will remain under review. Way I
understand it, that has been the case through out this whole
thing, constant reviewing. That was what lead to fans being
allowed back in for test events. If the new measures introduced
start to have a positive effect, I would not be surprised to see
test events back up and running before xmas

I see the testing centre at HQ is remaining open now that there
won't be crowds for Baa-baas or presumably the other games
supposed to happen after that.

We have all seen there are a significant number of idiots in
society and I'm sure they will cause some unrest.

Confimed that testing will cease day before and day after each
event

no real incentives to get rid of the older corona's, I may be a
pessimist but the cost of developing and approving a cure
doesn't out way what they already sell every year with cough
meds and the like for flu's etc, perhaps they don't want to try
that hard. This covid version is somewhat different with the
death rate as it is and definitely money to be made by the one
who finds the cure first.
our trial fan run went well and they thought 5k fans workable, I
hope if we can control this spike they will get back to that,
depends if we get a grip on the spike quickly.

Yep, they would be the idiots running round rioting and looting
spreading the virus even more.

Another thought. A friend of mine has been missing his footy
desperately. Last night he got a ticket for a non league
friendly. Crowd capped at 1000. After the announcement
yesterday he expected it to be blown out, it wasnt. The gov etc
gave their blessing and game went ahead with about 6/700 people
there. My own opinion, fans will be back in trialling events
soon (ish)**. might not be enough for some clubs/sports but
thats my prediction
**this is based on the new measures slowing the increase and
getting it bac down. I see no reason for 6 m onths

But I thought the point of the restrictions was less about
protecting yourself and more about protecting others?

1% of deaths?
In less than a year, COVID-19 has killed somewhere between
44,000 and 53,000 people in the UK this year. There have been
around 271,000 registered deaths.
In the USA, COVID-19 is now one of the deadliest events in the
nation's history.
