There has never been a vaccine for any Coronavirus. Deaths of
Corona account for 1% of deaths. Boris can’t tell us what he is
trying to do - reduce hospital admissions to what? Reduce
‘deaths’ (of people in their 90s with severe issues) to zero?
Reduce cases to zero? What is he trying to do?

I don’t understand why the Government are going by predictions
rather than real figures for things that have actually happened
in past epidemics and what has actually happened in this one.
Infections should have gone down when compulsory masks came in
but they didn’t. We still have to wear them. There have been no
mass infections from crowd events ,as far as I know, but they’ve
been cancelled. If this goes on there won’t be anything left let
alone rugby.

As much as I love watching (top) rugby there is no way that if
one of the people I love died I would say "well at least I can
still watch the rugby.
Just 1 of those I love mean more to me than rugby could ever
come close too!

The DCMS have announced this evening there will be no supporters
at any sporting event until at least March 2021. It looks like
they want to end most of sport in our great country. Can it be
long before there is general unrest over these damaging
restrictions?

do, run down sport and end it.

Saintquin, I’m not sure of the context of your post. Do you mean
you would rather there was no rugby in order to protect your
loved ones? If you do then we must stop absolutely everything
and stay at home and starve. For example, a friend of mine who
lives on his own locked down in his flat only going out to get
food from his local supermarket once a week. He didn’t speak to
anybody and kept his distance in the store taking all the
precautions. He still got Covid in May. It was tested positive
and he’s fine now luckily as he keeps himself fit. He seems to
have done everything and been unlucky. The only way he could
have been more careful would have been to not go out or have
anything enter his flat. That’s how to be 100% safe.

One thing I'm saying is (and I said to many at the time), why
rush back when a couple of weeks longer at the start may save
more lockdowns.
Would you be happy for one or more of my, yours or somebody
else's family to die so you could watch sport? I wouldn't! I do
miss not watching live sport and seeing friends I've at venues
but, I'm happy to make that small sacrifice!
Don't think anyone died of starvation because of lockdown and
the "R" number still dropped, so don't see why you would think
that would need to happen.
Very glad your friend is OK!
