Pretty sure that was the figure Mark Evans gave many moons ago
for Harlequins. Glos quoted as saying they need 8,000.

I think professional rugby could be in a whole heap of trouble
if this situation continues for the next few years.
Pro football is in a different situation. Some clubs can make
more money by not having fans at a game. For rugby though, the
TV income is low - so this is not an option.
Maybe it is time for CVC to start trying to get more from TV
revenue - more like the deals that France gets with the Top 14.

Evans's view was that 15,000 was the capacity you need to make a
profitable club, and you needed to be able to fill it fairly
regularly. It would make sense from that that 10k would give you
breakeven at a day to day level but wouldn't give you enough to
pay down loans or invest in future redevelopment.

This is getting so ridiculous now.
Shield those who are susceptible of dying from this horrible
disease.
Let us and those of us fortunate to not have any medical issues
and be the correct age get on with things.
We cannot let institutions like theatre, sport and culture to go
bust or wither away because of this. These clubs and cultural
places of worship need to be preserved.

I don't think that would work - if you excluded all of the over
50s from the games and the people who drink too much booze and
the smokers and the people with underlying health conditions,
then you would probably by lucky to get 1000 bums on seats.
Never mind 2500.

Or more Children, familes.
Perhaps come up with ideas to grow the game with different types
of people that do not currently come to games.
I agree it would count out a lot of people. But at least let
them decide what they want to do. The depression of our rights
and the threat it poses to our lives is now getting ridiculous.
Premiership tv rights are up for grabs this coming season. Why
not let fans offer Quins games as some kind of season ticket sub
to watch the club you love. This could be on top of the games of
the weekend as Bt sport does now.
It could turn into a double revenue stream. Fans in the ground
who are happy to be there and extra revenue from online season
ticket holders.

made me laugh have you seen the average rugby fan, take out the
not so fit etc and you will be below the 2500 allowed
