Two average sides, and it was us that made the fewer mistakes,
if we perform like that on Monday we will go down by 30 pts.
This isn't a turning point unless we can win our remaining
games, if we don't its a positive blip.

One of the comments made by both the commentators and Gloucester
players was that the speed and focus of the Quins defence took
away Gloucester's time on the ball and forced the errors. We
were a bit lucky that Lewies and Marchant held onto those balls
- but tactically Quins were playing to force Glaws to make those
loose plays.
What will kill us against a less profligate side is the penalty
count. I think Karl was a bit harsh at some points - Glaws had a
pretty clear pattern of having a big guy flop on Lewies's back
whenever he joined a maul, and won several penalties that way -
but the bigger picture is that we are giving away far too many
penalties and it's hurting us badly. Teams that can finish -
like Bath - will exploit that far better than Glaws did
yesterday.

It seemed like we were deliberately playing to Glaws strength in
having an exciting run from anywhere type back 3 by giving them
the ball in the air then hounding them down magnificently. I
also noticed on more than one occasion that we never looked like
competing in the air for box kicks/restarts waiting for a Glaws
player to take it so we could smash them.
BollyQuin Hi! Cips and Brown were having quite a long chat after
the game!

Had a very large portion of humble pie for breakfast about a few
players. That Poledri is a hell of a player, stunning hand off
on Dombrandt. For Italy, he's a younger Parisse and will have a
great career. Don't think he'll be at Glaws too much longer.
When Sarries come back up and start shopping as normal, maybe.
Great win, patchy performance but the will was there to try and
compete and I'd be happy with that approach in every game. But
for the lords sake, stop giving away so many basic penalties.

Exactly. I said last night that what I was most pleased with was
the grit and determination shown. Its a cliche but maximum
effort should be the minimum requirement, and against Wuss and
the first half against LI we didn't see that.

Elsewhere I described Polledri as Gorgodze with more pace. He's
ridiculously powerful.

Absolutely right.
I heard George Skivington say after the game that whilst
accepting how badly Gloucester had played if they had held on to
two or three passes it could have been a vastly different game
and he was right. Now we need increase the skill level and
application and combine it with the effort.

yes - they looked very pally - Cips had his arm around Brownies
neck (in a friendly way) while walking off
