Well that was a really satisfying performance and result. We
played very little rugby and were ruthless on the break. Our
defence was really brilliant. There were numerous times when I
feared we would go soft and concede, as we all know Quins can be
guilty of sometimes. Really impressed with how resolute we were.
Even a moment like Steele causing Slater to drop it when he was
in for a certain try; amazing effort and attitude.
Well played everyone. I think we have the makings of a real
squad now, we just need to keep the mentality positive and
focused. I do love the balance of Evans, Chisholm and Dombrandt
in our back row, in particular. Once we say farewell to our hero
Chris, that will be a good starting back row for next season.
Lewies has great captain material. I still think it ought to be
Chisholm but would be happy if Lewies or Symons got the armband.
On to Sale next week and Wasps the week after. Viva Monday night
rugby!

Didn’t see that coming. A great team performance and left
nothing out there.
Hat off to Morris after all the slagging off I’ve given (to
myself) him.
Evens can think himself unlucky not getting MOM but, then again
it could have gone to a few.
We were helped a lot by Glos but, that’s their problem.
After not winning many down there we seem to be doing well over
the last few years.
Well played Quins!

I hope he wasn't seen talking to any Quins players after the
game...
Would have been a good game for Bish to attend - he could have
chosen upwards of 10,000 seats to sit in. ;)
Good win, but Losscester aren't having much fun at the moment -
mojo absent since silliness with Ackermann.
Back it up by beating Sale away and then Wasps at home.

They say you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth and we
certainly didn’t this evening. I always feel that Cipriani
treads a fine line between madness and genius and last night was
more of the first. We definitely kicked well and defended well
on the whole. Care was on form and Marcus played intelligently.
Could watch Lewies’s try again and again.
That’s top 8 guaranteed. Would be good if we could get ourselves
into the top 6 and another rung up in the champions cup at the
same time removing the possibility we could be pushed out by
Leicester winning the challenge cup.

I agree Saintquin. Morris was excellent under the high ball last
night, he even managed to grab a bit of Thorleys shirt to bring
him down when he looked as though he was scretching away.
He looks as though he can do a job on the wing. He is big,
athletic and got that full back type of security.
I'm amazed we have not seen much of his long range goal kicking.
When we was the starting full back for the England U20 world cup
win (Same team as Chisholm hr, Maro Itojay and Nathan Earle),
/he used knock attempts at goal from 60m!!!

Warren Gatland was at the match with another Lions selector. Who
would they have been interested in at the game?

Evans and Lewies were immense (again). We obviously need
another back row for next season. Priority should be another
Evans. Morris also had a good. Steele looks a great signing
and Collier/Botta also put in a shift.

Cipriani is very gifted skill-wise but he can't control a game
for toffee. He's every bit the Spencer/Cooper/Russell of the
English game.
Plus it annoys me how much he's scared of contact that's not on
his terms. Any hint of a defender leaving the line to tackle him
and he just flaps the ball onwards in any direction as fast as
he can so he doesn't get hit, like a massive baby. Or
'shovelling it' as my old coach used to call it.

Bish doesn't go to any games, does he?

Don't worry, a few of us will be eating humble pie. Morris was
excellent, particularly secure under the high ball. He has the
tools and the ability. He just needs to start showing some
consistency...
