Players Whoooping and Cheering

I wish we would stop all this cheering when we do one thing
successfully (such as win a scrum). It’s embarrassing cause the
rest of the time we are utter crap (just watched the first half
of the Irish game)
How can Baldwin miss four out of his first five lineouts and
then cheer and whoop cause we win turned over one scrum,
embarrassing !!! This team needs a good old school rocket up the
bottom.
I know London Irish a whoooping too but they are academy
children, I hope Gustard gives some home truths that I’m not
sure he’s capable of.
I’d imagine it would be a far more uncomfortable walk into the
changing room if Deno was still about and many rockets up
bottoms would be launched at half time.

Gustard encourages that sort of behaviour though. Saying we
played well against sarries, bigging up our 20-30 minute spells
of decent play in otherwise abject defeats. Seems to celebrate
doing a few things well despite the overall dross

I thought the Irish players trampling on Morris was really poor
form, and referees don't do enough to make sure it doesn't
happen. They're basically an academy side though so can
understand why they're so happy. It's Gustard's Sarries and
England DNA for us.

This is such a stupid thread - no offence.
The whooping etc is a fairly powerful emotional tool that gets a
potential rise out of the opposition but can do a decent job at
motivating your own players too. Just look at itoje when he
plays, he's fantastic at it.
It keeps energy levels high and can break a bad spell if you're
in a rut.
I know everyone is frustrated about out inconsistencies at the
moment but that means that those whoops etc are even more
important

Wow some of you sound archaic.
It's amplified with no crowds but what difference does it make?
They are celebrating making a good play/winning a pen or scrum.
Whatever helps to get a W. Do you want silent players that act
like robots or players with a bit about them with emotion?

I agree, I couldnt care less if they give it to the oppo if they
win a pen or scrum. Get in their faces, why not. Ill admit
sometimes it goes a bit far but for the most part its no big
deal.
