I would normally have caught the train in for the game, but I
decided to drive this time. Public transport is always going to
be one of the main risk areas for any large event, even more so
than crowds in the stands or around food/drink concession areas
as public transport is confined enclosed spaces.

Quartered.." now we have "shown" that it is possible to have a
safe socially-distanced crowd it is hugely unfortunate that
there will be a delay for this to permeate to the many other
fixtures at other clubs (and yes other sports but charity begins
at home). Such a shame and such a waste;"...
Surely you cannot declare it as a Safe event until 2 weeks has
elapsed and none of us have got Covid?

I found this annoying too.
I guess that more of the people that paid £30/£50 for a seat
were more likely to turn up and that most of the empty seats
were from people who didn't have to pay as they had donated
money.

Possibly but could also be people who decided not to checkout
and but tickets and it was too late to get someone on the
waiting list.
Vet disappointing either way.

Based on the ticketing thread, there may have been people who
just couldn't get the checkout to work but the club were too
late to redistribute.
Nevertheless, it was a good turnout for a first effort

Acknowledged.
Put it this way, I would feel far, far safer attending another
similarly run event at The Stoop than I would working in a
school right now. Or having a drink in some of the busy pubs I
have walked past recently where people are mixing together and
behaving like we used to in good old 2019 - notwithstanding the
odd bottle of hand sanitiser on the bar.

Given the latest restrictions it seems unlikely increasing the
size of the crowd will be sanctioned and possibly having no
crowd at all.See NZ after full crowds went to no crowds
overnight.

I heard mention on the radio that test events were continuing
(cf. our game against Gloucs) but that the maximum crowd at any
venue was fixed at 1k, rather than the 2.7k we had at the Stoop
on Saturday.
