       Yes, there is. But numbers are sometimes helpful in recognising
       exceptional contributions. Very few players ever get anywhere
       near 300 appearances for a club and reaching that milestone is a
       fitting way to mark the departure of a player who is among the
       very top tier of players in Quins' long history.
       It wouldn't matter much if he didn't make it, but at the same
       time it is a fitting way to mark the end of his Quins career. It
       probably means more to the fans than to the man himself right
       now, but it helps to ensure he'll be appropriately remembered
       and celebrated by future fans.

       In cricketing terms, few people remark on Batters (sorry I've
       gone all PC) that get out in the 90's but everyone loves a
       Century maker.
