He was one of the standouts in Marchant's year at the JRWC,
along with Marchant himself.

small to thrive at Prem level, although I did think faster
summer rugby on harder grounds might suit his game. He's been
outstanding the last couple of matches, but I'm waiting to see
if he still has the same impact in slower/wetter conditions
before heralding him as the new messiah.

Can he not live somewhere between underrated/underappreciated
and new messiah. Just a solid reliable 7 would be awesome.

Indeed. I’d take him being fit and reliably good.

Somewhere between Will Skinner and both Robshaws would be very
acceptable. One to one and a half Robshaws, maybe?

points that I think were spotted on FB. Firstly, when they
Saints brought on Naiyaravoro to run at Smith, they put Smith to
blind side flanker and Evans cut him down as part of that
brilliant late stand to deny them a bonus point. And secondly,
for the brilliant try started by Browny, who was on Ashton's
shoulder as he ran in..........Evans.

I'm still not convinced, but we shall see. It would be very
interesting to have a player cam on him and track his movements
around the field. Does anyone have his stats for the past few
matches, and to see how they compare to others?

Have a skim (you can flick between attack and defence stats):
Saints:

/>
Worcester:

Sarries:

/>

Depends what stats your looking at. Different data points in
isolation aren’t going to give you the full picture.
Most interesting take away for me is that his middle name is
Giles. Nice.
