All of social media is corrupted by keyboard morons, people may
not like what I post on occasion but I would say the same to the
face.
Social media is a wonderful tool but sadly is used by cowards
and bullies as it is generally consequence free!

There was an excellent idea of a programme a few years a go
where celebrities (not ones I knew) found and met those who
abused them online to ask them why they did it. Most of those
they found just ran away and didn't want to say anything face to
face.
Sadly social media has enabled people to abuse others without
any care of the consequences of their actions. Twitter in my
opinion is the worst.

JK always seemed like a nice guy who was thrust into the
limelight through over-promotion. Arguably too nice a guy for a
very tough job.
I don't agree with the abuse he got here, on emails or on other
social media, but that's sadly the world we live in now and
anybody with a high-profile role needs to learn how to filter
out and ignore the d***heads.
Unfortunately the under-performance by Quins and JK also came at
a time when ticket prices had rocketed and we started to be fed
wall-to-wall BS about our incredible high performance coaching
set-up, training facilities, academy, psychologists, USA
partnership, potential new stadium, European aspirations blah
blah....
.... You can't be the 'face' of a multimillion pound sports
business that talks big about all this stuff and then gets
smashed week after week by the opposition despite having a squad
with 6 or 7 (fact check?) England players at that time, and not
cop some flak.
That said, it all became much too personal when he got the
controversial contract extension. Wrong choice for DOR and that
wasn't his fault. Good luck to him!

Anyone else recall when Bish "met" Mark Evans by running away
from him :)

This is,IMHO, one of the major issues with social media in that
it creates a culture of I can and will say what I like because I
am am behind a keyboard can remain face/nameless and therefore
will face no consequence and s*d the people I am abusing.
I do get that certain aspects of SM are useful but to many
people use it to big themselves up and feel free to abuse others
- basically brings out the worst of people.

I stayed pitchside that May 2018 game to pay respect to JK.
Regardless of people's opinions of his performance as DoR, for
17yrs he had given his all to the club, and deserved our respect
for that.
I shook his hand and thanked him.

It's a job he did with distinction for many years.
I've railed on here before against the tendency of posters to
talk about players as if they were disposable commodities. The
adage that you don't know what struggles another person faces
remains true, but it's harder to remember on social media. It's
notable that several of the most successful teams focus on the
human being first and the rugby player second (or, in Sarries
case, third, with equal business partner in a joint venture
second).
