Interesting and thought provoking interview with John Kingston.
I was not a fan of the vitriol and abuse he received on line
especially on social media. Mental health is important. I work
in a high pressure industry and everyone is starting to
understand the importance of this.
That does not mean no bad feedback should be made, just let's
all agree that we keep it respectful and remember those we are
critising are people too.

I never had issue with JK, the club should not have given him
the job

That is your opinion and that of a lot of fans and so called
fans.
Emails and abuse in the night, I saw plenty of disgusting fat
shaming on Facebook etc... No one deserves that and especially
not in a sport that holds respect on and off the pitch as a key
feature of the game.

I get emails in the middle of the night. So what?
From all sorts of companies.
Simply don't have your phone or other device capable of
receiving emails at your bedside during the night.
No wonder he was no good as a Director of Rugby if he couldn't
work out a solution to that one!

My interactions on social media re. rugby are very limited to
likes. You only need to read the comments to see that it’s no
place for an actual rugby dialogue. The majority know very
little and resort to abuse when challenged.
I’ll give you a couple of examples from the few occasions I have
posted on FB.
After last year’s Big Game, one Tigers fan was telling everyone
that Genge had destroyed Marler in the scrum. I politely pointed
out that while Genge may well have dominated our tighthead on
that occasion, he and Marler are both looseheads and therefore
weren’t directly facing-off against one another. Instead of
recognising the error, abuse quickly ensued.
Similarly, on a Lions thread I dared to propose that 6 cap Rory
Sutherland had a fine 6 Nations but might have a job overhauling
more experienced, proven looseheads such as Joe, Mako or Healy
without much time to press his case. Cue nationalist/personal
abuse from Scotland fans ...
My point is, if you’re looking for informed, respectful
conversation on rugby matter, don’t go looking for it on social
media.

I agree wholeheartdly, the only exception I will make on social
media is have discussions with mates who I know love the game
and understand it.
Yes spot on about Sarries. However that is over and done with
now, let's move on and get behind the team. They need our
support.
