Gill would be ideal but would presumably command hefty wages.
I'm sure we'll be linked with every out of contract flanker
under the sun between now and season end.
Looking forward to seeing how Evans goes against a competitive
Worcester back row on Wednesday.
I keep forgetting about Jurevicius too, who they reckon will be
a better blindside than lock in the long term. Not sure if he'll
be in the reckoning for next season.

And Bothma too. That's a lot of back row options gone.

Literally forgot all about him, which I guess highlights some of
the poor recruitment we’ve had over the years. With 4 flankers
off our wage bill I’m expecting at least two decent quality
replacements rather than some academy promotion. Hopefully will
hear more soon..

I can be wrong, but Kunatani at least until the end of this
championship we should have kept him, also because with all the
rotations that must be done apart from Evans there is no other
real number 7.

People keep saying we should have kept Kunatani, but I heard
(and has been rumoured elsewhere) that we didnt have a
choice......££££

I guess my only question mark on that is how much advance info
we had on Clifford’s situation.
From watching his interview, he thought he might be OK until a
few weeks ago. In hindsight, the money we will be saving could
have been used to keep Semi.
Anyway, it is what it is, but we need some high quality
replacements.
It’s not as though we didn’t already know this, but Robshaw’s
performances in the past week are heavily underlining the fact
that he’ll be almost irreplaceable.

Both Robshaw’s were decent at the weekend. He will be missed. A
lot.

I remain hopeful that our track record of finding replacements
for the apparently irreplaceable is quite good. Smith,
Dombrandt, Marchant and Murley are closer replacements for
Evans, Easter, Lowe and Williams than I thought we could
plausibly expect. I live in hope that a pair of twin brothers
and a bouncy skinhead are flying under everyone else's radar to
replace Robshaw and (eventually) Brown.

Think we need to think we will never quite replace a Robshaw or
a Brown or Care and unfair to every compare. They are Quins
legends and once in a generation club men in key positions. Look
at Leicester and how they have been lost for quite a few years.
We need to change the focus of our attention- something I think
PG and the management seem to me to be doing with focus on other
positions. I think Clifford is the biggest loss this year as he
was the future and it looked like PG was looking to build a
young dynamic back row with players with different skill sets.
