You cannot force someone to take a knee, I am not racist and
support Rugby against Racism but I wont be taking a knee. What
possible action can they take.

In fact Roko did not at Baths game in fact he stood to attention
in respect of VJ day. Does that make his racist? No of course
not.

Well, the SA sports minister is trying to stamp out racism in
sport/make a level playing field. So is entitled to ask why the
South Africans didn't take a knee. I mean on the face of it, it
doesn't look good that white overseas players aren't
participating in a gesture supporting black rights.
It comes back to the players involved to explain why they didn't
make the gesture. They must have known there might be some
suspicion when none of them did it. Wearing the T shirt was a
good move, hopefully enough to make this all a storm in a
teacup.

Other Sale players didn't kneel. They must all be racist.
One of them was Manu

since when was taking the knee the only gesture to show support
for Anti Racism? It is personal choice and if they want to show
support but in their own way that's no issue as far as I am
concerned, whether wearing Tshirts, kneeling, standing with head
bowed, if the sentiment is there that is all that matters. you
cant call someone a racist because the choose not to kneel
especially when they are wearing the anti racist tshirt. He
should understand why they choose not to kneel for sure but
calling it a racist gesture is plane irresponsible.

The slightly worrying aspect is that the name of Harlequins has
appeared in this article. It is not clear from the article on
first glance that the players were from Sale Sharks. (Remember,
people in South Africa will not know that "Manchester-based
club" = "Sale Sharks".)
The Sunday Times is a very popular English Language newspaper in
South Africa - It is not good if their readers associate
Harlequins as being racist.

This is getting ridiculous now isn't it? If they were racist
they would have refused to wear the t shirts. they stand
shoulder to shoulder with their team mates from various ethnic
backgrounds, and I am certain this would have been discussed
openly as a squad prior to the game.

I disagree DOK. I'm sure the players will have spoken about it
to each other but I see no reason why they should be expected to
explain their thoughts publicly.
