I've moved the football/soccer question to a thread of its own.
Please go over there to continue the discussion.

So you've come on to the message board, found this thread, not
read what the thread is about and now you give us your opinion
of it. Hmmm..

I watched the London Irish v Northampton game at The Stoop
yesterday.
Just before kick off the teams got into circles NHS, or BLM? Not
sure. Is this going to be the norm for every game now? For how
long?
I think 4 Irish and 2 Saints took the knee.
Did a similar thing happen at the Quins/Saracens game? Did
anyone notice how many did and how many didn't?

All the Quins 'took the knee' and nearly all the Sarries except
Billy V and one other I think

As I undersand it there's two parts to the pre-game now:
1: Both teams line up along with the ref team for a moments
silence to honour those who lost their lives from the pandemic &
the NHS staff.
2: Both teams recognise Black Lives Matter in their own way.
Quins have chosen to take a knee in a circle following
discussions within the squad.

I don't know. Possibly for the remainder of the season.
