I'm left shaking my head at this. A truly bizarre statement!

I was very pleased to see the team I follow united in taking the
knee in support of black lives matter.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the club act on it to bring
       about meaningful change.

Ugo made the point prior to the teams that coming out that those
who don't take the knee should not be criticised. He also
mentioned that one of the white South Africans who wouldn't be
doing this has just adopted a black child.
I agree that it is a great pity that some choose to highlight
the fact that some players didn't take the knee. It hardly helps
       the debate.

You've obviously never heard of Dawie de Villiers and Tommy

No it hasn't. But it has put race relations back about 20 years.
       IMO

I suspect they said the same about Martin Luther King and Nelson
       Mandela.

Is the taking of the knee perhaps related to where the
       individual player is from?
Many countries & continents represented over the weekend - with
the recent debate having arisen in the USA and then rightly
bringing Europe into a period of reflection etc. Perhaps with
countries like SA for instance who have been dealing with the
subject since the Mandela era, maybe they are at a different
       stage of their processing?
Personally I would just take the knee. But am wary of throwing
mud at those who didn't without hearing their story.

I personally am weary of taking a knee, mainly because I'll
struggle to get up again due to my dodgy right knee!
But I do support equality for all
