       That would an extra scrum half to the team, interesting to see
       if Quins still go after Hastings or as reported the battle with
       NZ Warriors has been lost now.

       Its not just The Warriors I think.  Before TRP reported on it, a
       few RL forums/sites mentioned that 3/4 NRL teams were after him.

       Am I being unfair in saying that Scott Steele sounds like a
       pretty uninspiring signing? Admittedly, it's in a third-choice
       (at best) role, and no doubt his cost was a positive factor, but
       I'd have expected us to have greater ambition than signing
       someone released by London Irish (no undue disrespect to Irish)
       after playing for them for six years, two of which were in the
       Championship. Seems unlikely that the Irish made a huge mistake
       releasing him and that we have cleverly unearthed a hidden gem,
       doesn't it?

       Im not sure it was a case of Irish just releasing, more to do
       with the pay cuts they are trying to impose (it may actually
       have been his decision to leave).  At this stage, I doubt there
       were a huge amount of options out there.  Id say a solid squad
       player.  I doubt we are looking at him as Cares long term
       replacement

       Finding a top quality long term replacement for someone of
       Care's stature is always difficult. They would likely be good
       enough to be first choice elsewhere, with regular game time. So
       why go to a club where you may be second fiddle for an
       unspecified number of seasons? Imagine if Nev were still
       playing, it would make it much harder to retain Marcus and Lang.
       Does anyone know how much is left on DC's contract?

       I could be wrong but I think him and Landajo both expire (in
       contract terms) next season.

       I think we can forget all old contract details - I think these
       will have all been re-negotiated in last month!

       Potentially a very astute signing. Watched him a lot in his
       early years - alongside Lewington who left Leicester at the same
       time.
       Had a good set of basics, eye for a gap and touch of pace. Can
       see why he hasn’t stayed, he’s mid twenties and stuck behind two
       Australian internationals.
       Has the potential to be a fabulous second choice 9 for the next
       few years.
       Obviously he has to fit in to the system and also demonstrate
       the promise shown, but for the money, really good option.
